CONSTITUTION. 6 E liz . II. No. 25, 1957. Appropriation Acts. 31 An Act to Apply certain Sums of Money out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and Trust and^^™* Special Funds to the Service of the Years i^Vo95!: ending on the last days of June, 1958 and 1959, and certain Further Sums to the Service of the Year ended on the last day of June, 1957, and to Appropriate the Supplies granted in the last and present Sessions of Parliament. [A ssented to 26 th N ovember , 1957.] Most Gracious Sovereign,— , Your Majesty’s most dutiful and loyal subjects, Preamble. the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parlia ment assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:— 1. In addition to the several sums specified in the Appropria- Parts marked respectively A, B, C, D, and E of the [Schedule, Schedule to this Act, and which sums are payable under Parts a , b , the authority of the several Acts in those Parts respec-c,D’andE tively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of Twenty-six million five hundred thousand pounds and Forty-three million five hundred thousand pounds already authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight, by *“ The Appropriation Act of 1956-1957, No. 2,” and The Appropriation Act of 1957-58, No. 1,” respectively, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the ____ c _ re _ di _ t of the Loa ■ n Fund Account), ' the sum of t 6 Eliz. 2 No. 15.

No. 25, Seventy-six million three hundred and twelve thousand one hundred and. fifteen pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Fifty-nine million seven hundred and thirty-eight thousand two hundred and fifty-seven pounds ; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Twenty-three million two hundred thousand pounds; Appropna- 2. There shall and may be issued and applied tlon* towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-nine, the sums following, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Fifteen million pounds ; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Ten million pounds ; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Three million five hundred thousand pounds. Appropria- 3. The sums granted by the first section of this Act votedfor1™8and by *“ The Appropriation Act of 1956-1957, No. 2,” Supply and f“ The Appropriation Act of 1957-1958, No. 1,” and servlces- which are set forth in the Parts marked respectively F, G, Parti^F6’ g an<^ H of the Schedule to this Act, amounting as and h .]’ ’appears by the said Parts in all to the sum of One hundred and fifty-nine million two hundred and fifty thousand three hundred and seventy-two pounds, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-seven, for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts F, G, and H respectively. Supple mentary appropria tion, 1956 1957. 4. There shall and may be issued and applied the further sums following, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), a further * 5 Eliz. 2 No. 11. f 6 Eliz. 2 No. 15.

Appropriation Acts. sum of One million three hundred and seventy-six thousand five hundred and thirty-six pounds eighteen shillings and nine pence ; From the Trust and Special Funds, a further sum of Five hundred and fifty thousand and sixty pounds seven shillings and four pence; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of Eight hundred and thirty-eight thousand four hundred and seventy-two pounds ; to defray Supplementary Charges for the service of the year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-seven, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-six, for the purposes and services expressed in the Parts marked I, J, and K of the Schedule to this Act. [Schedule, Parts I, J, and K.] 5. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said several Treasurer to sums, for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, to such a^dS^ted3 persons, upon such days, and in such proportions as the by Warrant- Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall, according to the warrant, be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or the appropriate Trust or Special Fund. 6 . The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to Treasurer to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money credit'for*1 paid by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, sums paid in and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to i^rant06 of whom the moneys are paid shall be a valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any sum therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 7. The issue or application of any part or parts of Inderanit,y- the said sums of One million three hundred and seventy-six thousand five hundred and thirty-six pounds eighteen shillings and nine pence, Five hundred and fifty thousand and sixty pounds seven shillings and four pence, and Eight hundred and thirty-eight thousand four hundred and seventy-two pounds, which has been B
