[A ssented to 30 th A ugust , 1957.] T"1 J HEREAS we, Your Majesty’s most dutiful and Preamble. V T loyal subjects, the members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, have in the present Session of Parliament cheerfully granted to Your Majesty the several sums hereinafter mentioned towards the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight, in addition to the sums already granted during the last Session of Parliament towards the same services : And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland the sums granted to Your Majesty as aforesaid: Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :— 1. In addition to the sums of Fourteen million Appropria pounds already applied from the Consolidated Revenuetlon' Fund (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), Nine million pounds already applied from the Trust and Special Funds, and Three million five hundred thousand pounds already applied from the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account towards the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and

No. 15,1957. fifty-eight, by *“ The Appropriation Act of 1956-1957, No. 2,” there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight, the sums following, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Twenty-one million pounds ; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Fifteen million pounds ; and From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Seven million five hundred thousand pounds. Treasurer to 2. The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay the as directed78 said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, by warrant, to such persons, upon such days, and in such proportions as the Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer, shall from time to time order and direct, and the payments so made shall be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the State. Treasurer to The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to credit for time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money sums paid in paid by him in pursuance of such warrant or order in ofwarrant. writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the same shall be so paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the said Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly.
