No. 41, An Act to Apply certain Sums of Money out of the ppAcfifI0N Consolidated Revenue Fund to the Service of 19“’ the Years ending on the last days of June, 1953 and 1954, and certain Further Sums to the Service of the Year ended on the last day of June, 1952, and to Appropriate the Supplies granted in the last and present Sessions of Parliament. M ost G racious S overeign ,— TTTTE, Your Majesty’s most dutiful and loyal subjects, V V the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parlia ment assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :— Uonr°pria [Schedule, ’an ' 1 • In addition to the several sums specified in the Parts marked respectively A, B, C, D, and E of the Schedule to this Act, and which sums are payable under the authority of the several Acts in those Parts respec tively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-three, the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of Eighteen million pounds and Thirty-one million pounds already authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-three, by *“ The Appropriation Act of 1951-1952, No. 2,” and The Appropriation Act of 1952-1953, No. 1,” respectively, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the * 15 G. 6 No. 52. t 1 Eliz. 2 No. 21.

Appropriation Acts. credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Fifty-four million one hundred and twelve thousand and thirty-three pounds ; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Forty-one million eight hundred and eighty-nine thousand six hundred and twenty pounds ; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Twenty million eight hundred and thirty-two thousand pounds; 2. There shall and may be issued and applied Appropria- towards making good the supplies granted to Her MajestytI0n- for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-four, the sums following, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Eleven million Five hundred thousand pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Seven million pounds; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Three million pounds. 3. The sums granted by the first section of this Act Appropria- and by *“ The Appropriation Act of 1951-1952, No. 2 ,” and f“ The Appropriation Act of 1952-1953, No. 1 ,” and Supply which are set forth in the Parts marked respectively F, G,Gervioes' and H of the Schedule to this Act, amounting as appears by the said Parts in all to the sum of®“dH.]’ ’ One hundred and sixteen million eight hundred and thirty-three thousand six hundred and fifty-three pounds, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-two, for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts F, G, and H respectively. 4. No. 41, sum of Five million and twenty-eight thousand five hundred and sixty-three pounds seven shillings and fourpence ; From the Trust and Special Funds, a further sum of Five million one hundred and ninety-four thousand three hundred and thirty-seven pounds eleven shillings and nine pence ; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of Two million seven hundred and ninety-eight thousand one hundred and thirty pounds and four shillings ; to defray Supplementary Charges for the service of the year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-two, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-one, for the purposes and services expressed in the Parts marked [Schedule, I J and K of the Schedule to this Act. Parts I, J ’ and K.] Treasurer to 5. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said several pay moneys sums, for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, to such by warrant, persons, upon such days, and m such proportions as the Governor, by any warrant or order under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to be allowed time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money sums paid in paid by him m pursuance oi any such warrants or orders, pursuance of and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to warran. whom the moneys are paid shall be a valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any sum therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. indemnity. 7.
