MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN,- ~ ' XTE, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, Preamble. l' lithe Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parlia- ment assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- 1. In addition to the several sums specified in the Appropria- Parts marked respectively A, B, C, D, and E of the ~ ~ ~ ~ edule Schedule to this Act, and which sums are payable under PartsA,B,C, the authority of the several Acts in those Parts respec- D, and E.] tively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and

No. 14, applied, towards making good the supplies granted to His Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and forty- one, the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of Four million six hundred thousand pounds, and Seven million three hundred thousand pounds, already authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and forty-one, by *" The Appropriation Act of 1939-1940, No. 2," and t" The Appropriation Act of 1940-1941, No. 1," respectively, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens- land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Fourteen million six hundred and fifty-nine thousand two hundred and fifty-seven pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Seven million three hundred and eighty-one thousand four hundred and forty-one pounds; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Three million three hundred and twenty-six thousand pounds. There shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to His Majesty for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and forty-two, the sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens- land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of . [S : c r h ~ e ~ du ' l 6 , Twenty-five million three hundred and sixty-six thousand six hundred and ninety-eight pounds, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and forty, for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts F, G, and H, respectively. 4. Governor, by any warrant or order under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland.

Indemnity. 7. The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of Four hundred and ninety-seven thousand two hundred and twenty-six pounds fifteen shillings and eight pence, Seven hundred and thirty- four thousand six hundred and twenty-one pounds seventeen shillings and four pence, and One hundred and forty-one thousand six hundred and ninety-two pounds twelve shillings and two pence, which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes (Schedule, expressed in the Parts marked I, J, and K of the a P n a d rts K I .] , J, Schedule to this Act, is hereby authorised and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application.
