I I the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parlia- ment assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- 1. In addition to the several sums specified in the Appropria- Parts marked respectively A, B. C, D, and E of the ~ ~ ~ r; ; edule. There shall and may be issued and applied the further sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens- land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), a further sum of Two hundred and fifty-four thousand five hundred and forty-eight pounds twelve shillings; ----------------------- * 1 Geo. Appropriation Acts. .16957 From the Trust and Special Funds, a further sum of Six hundred and ninety thousand six hundred and forty-one pounds two shillings and eleven pence; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of Two hundred and seventy-four thousand six hundred and sixty-eight pounds nine shillings . and ten pence; to defray Supplementary Charges for the service of the year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, for the purposes and services expressed in the Parts marked I, J, and K of the Schedule to this Act. ~ : ! : ; ~ i, and K.] 5. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said several Treasurer tOo sums, for the purposes herein.before mention~ d, to such ~ : ~ : ~ ~ : a. s persons, upon such days, and ill such proportIOns as the by warrant. Governor, by any warrant or order under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland. 6. The Treasurershall in his accounts from time to time Treasurer to- be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by be ~~ ~ o7ed him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, and the ~ :n~ p~ td in receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom thepursua~ ce of moneys are paid shall be a valid discharge to the Treasurer warran . in passing his accounts for any sum therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 7. The issue or application of any part or parts of Indemnity. the said sums of Two hundred and fifty-four thousand five hundred and forty-eight pounds twelve shillings, Six hundred and ninety thousand six hundred and forty-one pounds two shillings and eleven pence, and Two hundred and seventy-four thousand six hundred and sixty- eight pounds nine shillings and ten pence, which has been made before the passing of this Act .for the purposes expressed in the Parts marked I, J, and K of [Schedule, the Schedule to this Act, is hereby authorised and Pa~t~lj J, sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified an against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application.
