[ASSENTED TO 26TH AUGUST, 1927.] Preamble. ~ ~ THEREASwe, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal Vl subjects, the members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament a' 3~ embled, have in the present Session of Parliament cheerfully granted to Your Majesty the several sums hereinafter mentioned towards the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, in addition to the sums already granted during the last Session of Parliament towards the same :o:ervices: And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland the sums granted to Your Majesty as aforesaid: Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- Appropria. 1. In addition to the sums of Two million pounds tion. already applied from the Consolidated Revenue Fund (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), One million pounds alr@ady applied from the Trust and Special Funds, and Six hundred thousand pounds already applied from the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account towards the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, by *" The Appropriation Act of 1926- 1927, No. 3," there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to His Majesty for the :o:ervices of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, the sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens- land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Two million pounds; * 17 Goo, V. From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of One mHlion two hundred and fifty thousand pounds; and From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Nine hundred thousand pounds. 2. The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay the Treasurer to said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, ~ : ~ : ~ ~ : r to such persons, upon such days, and in such proportions by warrant. as the Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer, shall from time to time order and direct, and th~ payments so made shall be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the State. 3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time tOTreasurerto time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid ~:e~~~o~~d by him in pursuance of such warrant or order in writing sums paid in as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective ~ ~~ ~ ~~ ~ .ce of persons to whom the same shall be so paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the said Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 4. This Act may be cited as " 'Phe Appropriation Act Short title. Of 1927-1928, No. 1."
