. CONSTITUTION. 11 GEO. V. No. 8, 1920. .J..ppropriation Act•. 3. [ASSENTED TO 23RD DECEMBER, 1920.] MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN,- W E, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, Preamble. the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Pa.rlia- ment assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your.Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majest,y the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do there- fore beseech Your Majesty .that it may be enacted; and be it thereforeenacted by the King's :Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Par- liament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- 1. There shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to His Majesty for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, the sums following, that is to say :- From the Oonsolidated Hevenue Fund of Queens- land, exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Six hundred thousand pounds; From the 'J. \'ust and Special Funds the sum of Three hundred thousand pounds; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account the sum of Two hundred and fifty thousand pounds. The sums granted by the first section of this Act and by *" The Appropriation .Aat of 1919-1920, No. 5," t" The .Appropriation .Act of 1920-1921, No. 1," and" The .Appropriation Aat of 1920-1U21, No. 2," and which are set forth in the Parts marked respectively G, H, and I of the Schedule to this Act, amounting, as appears by the said Parts, in all to the sum of Sixteen million five hundred * 10 Geo. [Schedule, PartsK,L, and M.] • Short title, the moneys are paid shall be a valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any sum therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 7. The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of One million and forty thousand five hundred and thirty pounds eight shillings and eleven pence, One hundred and seventeen thousand two hundred and eighty-seven pounds five shilling~ and nine pence, and Six hundred and forty-four thousand and eighty-nine pounds ten shillings and eleven pence, which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes expressed in the Parts marked K, L, and M of the Schedule to this Act, is hereby authorised and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. 8. [ASSENTED TO 4TH JANUARY, 1921.] it enacted by the King's Most Excellent 'Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislatiye Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows ;- Short title' 1. This Act may be cited as "The Income Tax Act : ~ ~ struction Amendment Act of 1920, No. 2," and shall be read as one of Act. with *" 'The Income Tax Act of 1902" and its several amendments (herein collectively referred to as the Principal Act).
