An Act to Apply certain Sums of Money out of the Appi~ : RIA' TION ACT OF l~ ~ ~ ~ , Consolidated Revenue Fund to the Service of the Year ending on the last day of June, 1909~ and certain further Sums to the Service of the Year ended on the last day of June, 1908~ and to Appropriate the Supplies granted in the last and the present Sessions of Parliament. WE, MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN,- , your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects~ the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parlia- _ ment assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully gl'anted to your Majesty in the. last and the present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech your Majesty that it may be enacted; and be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent M: ~ jesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Oouncil and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows ;- ~ ppropria. 1. From the Trust and Special Funds the sum of Two hundred and eighty-six thousand eight hundred and ninety pounds six shillings and nine pence; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account the sum of One million six hundred and thirty-six thousand and fifty-one pounds. 2. K, and L.] to defray Supplementary Charges for the service of the said year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and eight, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and seven, for the purposes and services expressed in the Parts marked I, K, and L of the Schedule to this Act. Treasurer to 4. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said several apsaydimreocnteedys sums for the pm'poses hereinbefore mentioned, to such by.warrant. persons, upon such days, and in such proportions as the Governor, by any warrant or order under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall be charged upon and payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to cbreeadliltofwoerd time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid sums paid in by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, and wpuarrsruaannt. ce of the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be a valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any sum therein mentioned, and he· shall receive credit for the same accordingly. Indemnity. (Schedule, Parts I, K, and L.] 6. The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of One hundred and eighty thousand three hundred and fifty-two pounds ten shillings and eight pence, Eighteen thousand six hundred and eleven pounds three shillings and three pence, and Seventy-nine thousand three hundred and eighty-four pounds three shillings and eight pence, which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes expressed in the Parts marked I, K, and L of the Schedule to this Act, is hereby authorised and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. W HEREAS it is expedient to authorise the raising by wav of Loan for the Public Service of the State of certain ~ sums of money, amounting in all to Three million two hundred and eight thousand pounds, for the several purposes hereinafter specified: Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : - Power to raise money for certain purposes. 1.
