CONSTITUTION. 8 EDW. VII. No. 15, Hl08. Appropriation Acts. 3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to Treasurer to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid ~ : e~ : fu; d by him in pursuance of such warrant or order in writing sums paid in as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective ~ ~ : ~ ~ ~ . c. e of persons to whom the same shall be so paid shall be a full and va1id discharge to the said Treasurer in passing· his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 4. [ASSENTED TO 21sT APRIL, 1908.] MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN,- W E, your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, Proamble. the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parlia- ment assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to your Majesty in the last Session of the last Parliament and the present Session. of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech your Majesty that it may be enacted; and be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queens- land in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : - 1. One thousand nine hundred and eight, the sums following, inclusive·ofthe three several sums of Four hundred and eighty thousand pounds, Five hundred and forty thousand pounds, and Six hundred and fifty thousand pounds already authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and eight, by "The Appropriation Act of 1907-1908, No. 1," "The Appropriation Act of 1907-1908, No. 2," and "The Appropriation Act of Hf07-1008, No. 3,"· that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens- land, exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Two million eight hundred ,and five thousand nine hundred and sixty-one pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds the sum of Two hundred and sixty thousand three hundred and thirty-nine pounds five shillings and two pence; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account the sum 'of One million fifty- eight thousand three hundred and thirty-four pounds. There shall and may be issued and applied towards making good the supplies granted to His Majesty for the services of the year ending on the ~ hirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and nine, the sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens- land, exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Eight hundred and fifty thousand pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds the sum of One hundred thousand pounds; and From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account the sum of Four hundred thousand pounds. The sums granted by the first section of this Act and by " The Appropriation Act of 1907-1908, No. 1," " The Appropriation Act of 1907-190S, No. 2," and" The Appropriation Act ofI907-1908, No. 3,"* and which are set forth in the Parts marked respectively F, G, and H of the Schedule to this Act, amounting, as appears by the said 7 Edw. VII. Nos. 1 and 2, 8upra, pages 9193 and 9194, and 8 Edw. VU. No. 1, last preceding Act.
CONSTITUTION. , 9215 1908. Appropriation Acts. Parts in all to the sum of Four million one hundred and twenty-four thousand six hundred and thirty-four pounds five shillings and two pence, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and seven, for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts F, G, and H, respectively. 4. In addition to the. sum specified in the Part Supple· marked E of th~ Schedule to ~ his Act, and which sum ~; ; ;~ ; ia. was lawfully paId for the serVIce of the year ended on tion, 1906· the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and 1907. seven, under the authority of the Acts in that Part men- [Sohedule, tioned, there shall and may also be issued and applied Part E.] the further sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens- land, exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of One hundred and seventy thousand three hundred and seventy-eight pounds eleven shillings and two pence; From the Trust and Special Funds the sum of Fifteen thousand nine hundred and seventy- nine pounds nineteen shillings and three pence; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan FUDd Account a further sum of Two thousand five hundred and five pounds eleven shillings and nine pence; to defray Supplementary Charges for the service of the said year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seven, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and six, for the purposes and services expressed in tbe Parts marked I, K, and L of (Schedule, the Schedule to this Act a P n a d rts L. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to credit for time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid pBuumrssuapnacide ionf by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, and warrant. the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be a valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any sum therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. Indemnity. 7. The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of One hundred and seventy thousand three hundred and seventy-eight pounds eleven shillings and two pence, Fifteen thousand nine hundred and seventy- nine pounds nineteen shillings and three pence, and Two thousand five hundred and five pounds eleven shillings and nine pence, which has been made before the passing of [Schedule, Parts I, K, and L.] this Act for the purposes expressed in the Parts marked I, K, and L of the Schedule to this Act, is hereby autho- ri~ ed and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application.
