Preamble. [ASSENTED TO 12TH DECEMBER, 1906.J MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN,- W E, your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parlia- ment assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to your Majesty in the present Session of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech your Majesty that it may be enacted; and be it therefore enacted by the King's Most :Bxcellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and· Legislative Assembly of Queens- land in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : - Appropria- 1. In addition to the several sums specified in the rS~ edules A Schedules to this Bill marked respectively A, B, C, and D, B, 0, and Dj and which sums are payable under the authority of the several Acts in those Schedules respectively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to His Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seven, the sums following, inclusive of the three several sums of Four hundred and eighty thousand pounds, Five hundred and forty thousand pounds, and One hundred thousand pounds 3,h o eady authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last. day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seven, by "The Appropriation Act of 1906-1907, No. 1," "The Appropriation Act of 1906-1907, No. 2," and "The Appropriation .Act of UW6-UW7, No. 3,"* that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens- land, exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Two million two hundred and two thousand six hundred and eighty-one pounds; * 6 Edw. VII. Nos. 1,4, and 17, last three preceding Acts.

Indemnity. 6. The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of Ninety-five thousand one hundred and twelve pounds fifteen shillings and eleven pence, Thirty- five thousand nine hundred and fifty-six pounds twelve shillings and eleven pence, and Seventeen thousand one hundred and eighty-four pounds ten shillings and twopence, which has been made before the passing of this Act for [Schedules I, the purposes expressed in the said Schedules marked I, K, and L.] K, and L, is hereby authorised and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application.
