An Act to appropriate and apply out of the Con­ solidated Revenue F u n d of New South Wales cer tain Sums to make good the Supplies g ran ted for the Service of the year from the 1st day of Ju ly , 1906, to the 30th day of J u n e , 1907, inclusive of bo th d a t e s ; to adjust t he vote "Advance to Treasurer , 1905-1906,"for supple­ men ta ry charges dur ing the period from 1st Ju ly , 1905, to 30th J u n e , 1906, inclusive of bo th dates ; to provide for Publ ic Works and other Services for t he year 1906-7 out of t he Publ ic W o r k s Fund , and for services of the year 1906-7 out of the Closer Se t t lement F u n d ; and for purposes connected wi th and in­ cidental to the above objects. in Parliament assembled, have granted to Your Majesty the several WH E R E A S we Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales sums hereinafter mentioned for the service of the year from the first

day

day of July , one thousand nine hundred and six, to the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seven (inclusive of both dates), and for supple­ menting the grants made by the present Parliament, in its Second Session, in adjustment of the vote "Advance to Treasurer, 1905-1900," for charges during the period from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and five, to the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and six (inclusive of both

dates), to be provided for out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, and on account

of Public Works and other Services for the year one thousand nine hundred and six and one thousand nine hundred and seven, to be provided for out of the Public Works Fund, and out of the Closer Settlement Fund : And whereas we desire to make good out of the said Funds the several sums granted to Your Majesty as aforesaid: Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of the State of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1. Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund there shall be appropriated, and

are hereby appropriated, and shall be issued and applied for or towards the several
uses and purposes hereinafter expressed—

APPROPRIATIONS OUT OF PUBLIC WORKS FUND—

2 . Out of the Public Works fund there shall be appropriated,

4. The Colonial Treasurer shall issue and pay the said several sums to such persons for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned in such manner and in such proportions as the Governor by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer may from time to time order and direct, and the payments so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of the said funds respectively ; but the said Treasurer shall not be held liable for any claims which may arise in connection with any of the State Depart­ ments transferred to the Commonwealth on or after the date of such transfer.

5. The said Treasurer shall in his Accounts from time to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such warrant or order in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the same are so paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the said Treasurer in

mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. passing his said Accounts for any such sum or sums as may be therein 6. This Act may be cited as the "Appropriation Act of 1906-
1907."
