[ASSEN'l'ED TO 13'l'H NOVEMBER, 1903.J MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN, - W E, your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, Preamble. the· Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to your Majesty in: this Session of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech your Majesty that it may be enacied; and be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parlia- ment assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- 1. Fund Account, the sum I)f Two million one hundred and forty-one thousand six hundred and twenty-five pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds the sum of One hundl'ed and fifty-three thousand nine hundred and thirty-one pounds eleven shillings and nine pence; and * 3 Edw. VII. Nos. 1 and S, last two preceding Acts.

No. 11, From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account the sum of Eight hundred and forty-five thousand three hundred and sixty-six pounds. Appropria· 2. The sums granted by this Act and by "The ! ~ ~ ~ ff~ ~ me Appropriation Act of 1903-1904, No. 1," and "The Supply Appropriation Act of 1903-1904, No. 2,"* and which are services. set forth in the Schedules to this Act marked respectively [Schedules F, F, G, and H, amounting, as appears by the said Schedules, G, and H.] in all to the sum of Three million one hundred and forty thousand nine hundred and twenty-two pounds eleven shillings and nine pence, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and three, for the pur- poses and services expressed in the said Schedules F, G, and H, respectively. CONSTITUTION. 8627 1903. Appropriation Act No. 3. 4. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said several Treasurer to sums for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, to such ; : ~ : ~ ~ : r persons, upon such days, and in such proportions as the by warrant. Governor, by any warrant or order under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall be charged upon and payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland. 5. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to Treasurer to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid ~ : e~ o; : ~ d, by him in pur~ uance of any such warrants or orders, and sums paid in the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom ~ ~ = ~ ~ e of the moneys are paid shall be a valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any sum therein men- tioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 6. The issue or application of any part or parts of IndemDi.ty. the said sums of Eighty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty-eight pounds and four pence, Fifty-nine thousand three hundred and twenty-seven pounds thirteen shillings and three pence, and Ninety-eight thousand nine hundred .and sixty-one pounds sixteen shillings and nine pence, which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes expressed in the said Schedules marked I, [Schedules I, K, and L, is hereby authorised and sanctioned, and the K, and L.] 'Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. 7. ConstitutionAct the Parliament of the State of Queensland is empowered to make laws for determining the times and places of elections of Senators for the said State: And whereas it is desirable to make such a law: Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent· Majesty, by and with the advice and cOnsent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : - 1.
