On the return of such warrant the justice shall proceed to hear the matter of the complaint, and if the same is proved to be true shall proceed to levy or enforce payment of the said weekly sums by distress or imprison- ment for any period not exceeding three months. W HEREAS we, your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, have in the present Session of Parliament cheerfully granted to your Majesty the several sums hereinafter mentioned towards the services ofthe year ending onthe thirtieth dayof June; One thousand nine hundred and three: And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland the several sums granted to your Majesty as aforesaid: Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- A.ppropria tion. 1. There shall and may be issued and applied towards making good the supplies granted to His Majesty for the

Appropriation Act No. 2. services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and three, the sums following, that is to say ;- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens- land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account) the sum of Four hundred thousand pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds the sum of Fifty thousand pounds; and From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account the sum of Two hundred and fifty thousand pounds. 2. The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay the Treasurer to said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, ~ : ~ i~ e~ ~ : ~ s to such persons, upon such days, and in such proportions by warrant. as the Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer, shall from time to time order and direct, and the payments so. made shall be charged upon and payable out of the ConsolIdated Revenue Fund of the State. 3. The Treasurer shall, in his accounts, from time to Treasurer to t .
