WHEREAS we Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects,

the Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, have granted to Your Majesty the several sums hereinafter mentioned for the service of the year from the first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, to the thirtieth day of June, of the year one thousand nine hundred (inclusive of both dates), and for supplementing the grants made by the present Parliament, in its First Session, and in adjustment of the vote "Advance to Treasurer, 1898-9," for charges during the period from the first day of July, of the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, to the thirtieth day of June, of the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine (inclusive of both dates) : And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales the several sums granted to Your Majesty as aforesaid : Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, that out of the said Consolidated Revenue Fund

XIII . The Treasurer of the said Colony shall issue and pay the said several sums to such persons for the purposes hereinbefore men­ tioned in such manner and in such proportions as the Governor by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer shall from time to time order and direct, and the payments so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of the Consoli­ dated Revenue Fund of the said Colony.

XIV. The said Treasurer shall in his Accounts from time to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such warrant or order in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the same shall be so paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the said Treasurer in passing his said Accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly.

XV. This Act may be cited as the " Appropriation Act of

1899-1900."
