No. IV.

All Act to appropriate and apply out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales certain sums to make good the Supplies granted for the Service of the Year 1880 and for the year 1879 and previous Years. [2nd July, 1880.]

WH E R E A S we Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects the Parliament assembled have granted to Your Majesty the several sums Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in

hereinafter mentioned for the service of the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty and for supplementing the grants made by the present Parliament in its Second Session for the Service of the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine and previous years And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Eund of New South Wales the several sums granted to Your Majesty as afore­ said Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same That out of the said Consolidated Revenue Fund there shall be further appropriated and are hereby appropriated and shall be issued and applied for or towards the several uses and purposes hereafter expressed—

XIV. The Treasurer of the said Colony shall issue and pay the said several sums to such persons for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned in such manner and in such proportions as the Governor by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer shall from time to time order and direct and the payments so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the said Colony.

XV. The said Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time be allowed
credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such warrant or

order in writing as aforesaid and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to

whom the same shall be so paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the said Treasurer in passing his said Accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein
mentioned and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. XVI . I t shall be lawful for the Government to expend the amount herein
provided for Public Instruction thirtieth Victoria number twenty-two on Public Instruction forty-third A rictoria number twenty-three or so much of it as may
necessarily require to be expended hereunder.

X V I I .    No appropriation included in this Act shall lapse until the thirty-first

day of December one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one.

X V I I I . Nothing in this Act contained shall affect or in any manner alter or

vary any of the provisions contained in the Act thirty-three Victoria number

eighteen intituled the "Audit Act of 1870."

X I X .    This Act may be cited as the "Appropriation Act of 1880."
