Appropriation Act (No 2) 1999-2000

An Act to appropriate additional money for the Chief Minister’s Department and the Department of Health and Community Care for the financial year that began on 1 July 1999

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

  1. Name of Act

    This Act is the Appropriation Act (No 2) 1999-2000.

  2. Commencement

    This Act commences on the day it is notified in the Gazette.

  3. Purposes

    This Act is made for the purposes of—

    (a) sections 57 and 58 of the Australian Capital Territory (Self‑Government) Act 1988 of the Commonwealth; and

(b) section 6 of the Financial Management Act 1996.

  1. Interpretation

  2. A word or expression in this Act has the same meaning as in the Financial Management Act 1996.

  3. In this Act—

    financial year means the year that began on 1 July 1999.

  4. Additional appropriations of $10,000,000

  5. The amount of $4,500,000 is appropriated to the Chief Minister’s Department for an additional capital injection in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in column 2 of Part 3 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act 1999-2000.

  6. The amount of $2,500,000 is appropriated to the Chief Minister’s Department for the net cost of providing additional outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in column 2 of Part 3 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act 1999-2000.

  7. The amount of $3,000,000 is appropriated to the Department of Health and Community Care for an additional capital injection in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in column 2 of Part 8 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act 1999-2000.
