Appropriation Act 2000-2001 (No 3)

An Act to appropriate additional money for the purposes of the Territory for the financial year that began on 1 July 2000

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

1. Name of Act

   This Act is the Appropriation Act 2000-2001 (No 3).

2. Commencement

   This Act commences on the day it is notified in the Gazette.

3. Purposes

   This Act is made for the purposes of—

   (a)the Australian Capital Territory (Self-Government) Act 1988 (Cwlth), sections 57 and 58; and

   (b)the Financial Management Act 1996, section 6.

4. Words and expressions used in Financial Management Act

   A word or expression used in the Financial Management Act 1996 has the same meaning in this Act.

5. Meaning of financial year

   In this Act:

   financial year means the year that began on 1 July 2000.

6. Additional appropriations of $31 819 000

7. The amount of $16 000 is appropriated to the Legislative Assembly Secretariat for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 1, column 2.

8. The amount of $1 506 000 is appropriated to the Chief Minister’s Department for the net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 3, column 2.

9. The amount of $1 740 000 is appropriated to the Chief Minister’s Department for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 3, column 2.

10. The amount of $3 258 000 is appropriated to the Department of Treasury for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 5, column 2.

11. The amount of $9 676 000 is appropriated to the Central Financing Unit for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 6, column 2.

12. The amount of $2 410 000 is appropriated to the Department of Health, Housing and Community Care for the net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 8, column 2.

13. The amount of $3 700 000 is appropriated to the Department of Urban Services for the net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 9, column 2.

14. The amount of $150 000 is appropriated to the Department of Urban Services for an additional capital injection in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000‑2001, schedule 1, part 9, column 2.

15. The amount of $6 000 000 is appropriated to InTACT for an additional capital injection in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 10, column 2.

16. The amount of $2 201 000 is appropriated to the Department of Justice and Community Safety for the net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 15, column 2.

17. The amount of $667 000 is appropriated to the Department of Justice and Community Safety for an additional capital injection in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 15, column 2.

18. The amount of $152 000 is appropriated to the Department of Justice and Community Safety for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 15, column 2.

19. The amount of $343 000 is appropriated to the Department of Education and Community Services for the net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 16, column 2.
