Appropriation Act 2000-2001 (No 2)

An Act to appropriate additional money for the purposes of the Territory for the financial year that began on 1 July 2000

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:
Name of Act
This Act is the Appropriation Act 2000-2001 (No 2).
Commencement
This Act commences on the day it is notified in the Gazette.
Purposes
This Act is made for the purposes of—
(a)the Australian Capital Territory (Self-Government) Act 1988 (Cwlth), sections 57 and 58; and
(b)the Financial Management Act 1996, section 6.
Words and expressions used in Financial Management Act
A word or expression used in the Financial Management Act 1996 has the same meaning in this Act.
Meaning of financial year
In this Act:
financial year means the year that began on 1 July 2000.
Additional appropriations of $14 825 000
The amount of $5 900 000 is appropriated to the Department of Treasury for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 5, column 2.
The amount of $8 925 000 is appropriated to the Department of Education and Community Services for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2000-2001, schedule 1, part 16, column 2.
