Appropriation Act 1999-2000 (No 3)

An Act to appropriate additional money for the Department of Urban Services and the Department of Justice and Community Safety for the financial year that began on
1 July 1999

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:
1 Name of Act
This Act is the Appropriation Act 1999-2000 (No 3).
2 Commencement
This Act commences on the day it is notified in the Gazette.
3 Purposes
This Act is made for the purposes of—
(a)sections 57 and 58 of the Australian Capital Territory (Self-Government) Act 1988 (Cwlth); and
(b)section 6 of the Financial Management Act 1996.
4 Interpretation
A word or expression in this Act has the same meaning as in the Financial Management Act 1996.
5 Meaning of financial year
In this Act:
financial year means the year that began on 1 July 1999.
6 Additional appropriations of $12,620,000
(1) The amount of $4,426,000 is appropriated to the Department of Urban Services for the net cost of providing outputs in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in column 2 of Part 9 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act 1999-2000.
(2) The amount of $3,298,000 is appropriated to the Department of Urban Services for an additional capital injection in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in column 2 of Part 9 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act 1999-2000.
(3) The amount of $4,896,000 is appropriated to the Department of Justice and Community Safety for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the financial year for the appropriation unit mentioned in column 2 of Part 14 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act 1999-2000.
