WE, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore
Appropriation Act (No. 2) 1977, No. 52 511 enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Appropriation . [ Schedule, Parts I and II. ] In addition to the several sums specified in the Parts marked respectively I and II of the Schedule to this Act, and which sums are payable under the authority of the several Acts in those Parts respectively mentioned , there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seventy-eight the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of Five hundred and seventy-six million dollars and Nine hundred and seven million dollars already authorized to be applied towards the services of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seventy-eight by the AppropriationAct1976-1977(No.2) and the AppropriationAct1977-1978(No. 1), respectively, that is to say, From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of One thousand six hundred and forty-eight million eight hundred and eighty-one thousand three hundred and eighty-seven dollars; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Two thousand and ten million six hundred and seventy-eight thousand eight hundred and thirty-eight dollars; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Two hundred and sixty-one million nine hundred and sixty-nine thousand and twenty-three dollars. 2. Appropriation. There shall and may be issued and applied towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seventy-nine, the sums following, that is to say,-- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Three hundred million dollars; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Two hundred and sixty million dollars: From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Thirty-three million dollars. 3. Appropriation of sums voted for Supply services. [Schedule, Parts III, IV and V.] The sums granted by the first section of this Act and by the Appropriation Act1976-1977(No.2) and the AppropriationAct1977-1978(No.1) and which are set forth in the Parts marked respectively III, IV and V of the Schedule to this Act, amounting as appears by the said Parts in all to the sum of Three thousand nine hundred and twenty-one million five hundred and twenty-nine thousand two hundred and forty-eight dollars, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and seventy-seven for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts III, IV and V respectively.
512 Appropriation Act (No. 2) 1977, No. 52 4. Supplementary appropriation , 1976-1977. [Schedule, Parts, VI, VII and VIII.] There shall and may be issued and applied the further sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan-Fund Account), a further sum of One hundred and eighteen million nine hundred and fifteen thousand four hundred and seventy-nine dollars sixty-four.cents; From the 'T r-ti st and Special Funds , a further sum of One hundred and 'thi ' rty-five - million ' four hundred and 'ninety -t hree thousiir i d'riine Hundred and sixteen dollars sixty-three cents; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of Twenty - eight million one hundred -acrd eighty - one thousand five hundred and forty - two dollars two cents, to defray Supplementary Charges for the services of the year ended on the last; day ;of, Lune, ..One thousand nine hundred and seventy-seven, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated- as from the first lay of,, July, One .thousand nine hundred and seventy-six, for the purposes and services expressed in the Parts marked respectively VI, VII and VIII of the Schedule to this. Act. 5. Treasurer to pay moneys as directed by warrant. The Treasurer of the State' shall issue afid pay the said several sums' for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, to siich'persons, upon such days, and in such proportions.as the Governor, by any warrant or order. in writing under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders, and directs, and the payments ^ so. made. shall, according to the . warrant, be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or the appropriate Trust or Special Fund. 6. iTre er to be allowed credit for sums paid in pursuance of warrant. The Treasurer shall .in his accounts from time to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as `shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 7. Indemnity. [Schedule, Parts VI,.. II and VIII.] The issue or application of. any part or parts of the said, sums of One hundred and eighteen million nine hundred and fifteen `thousand four hundred and seventy-nine dollars sixty-four cents, One hundred and thirty-five million four hundred and ninety-three thousand nine hundred and sixteen dollars sixty-three cents and Twenty-eight million one hundred andeighty-one thousand five hundred and forty-two dollars two cents. which has been made before the passing of this' Act for the purposes expressed in the Parts marked respectively VI, VII and VIII of the Schedule to this Act, is hereby authorized and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. 8. Short title . This Act may be cited as the Appropriation Act1977 -4978 (No. 2).
