746 ANNO VICESIMO ELIZAEETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 58 of 1971 An Act to Apply certain Sums of Money out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and Trust, and Special Funds to the Service of the Years ending on the last days of June, 1972 and 1973, and certain Further Sums to the Service of the Year ended on the last day of June , 1971, and to Appropriate the Supplies granted in the last and present Sessions of Parliament [ASSENTED TO 8TH DECEMBER, 1971 ] Most Gracious Sovereigns Preamble . WE, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled , towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore
Appropriation Act (No. 2) 1971, No. 58 747 enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Appropriation. [Schedule, Parts I and 1Z] In addition to the several sums specified in the Parts marked respectively I and II of the Schedule to this Act, and which sums are payable under the authority of the several Acts in those Parts respectively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seventy-two the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of One hundred and sixty-four million dollars and Three hundred and two million dollars already authorized to be applied towards the services of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seventy-two by the Appropriation Act1970-1971(No.2) and the AppropriationAct1971-1972(No. 1), respectively, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Four hundred and eighty-four million seven hundred and fifty-seven thousand six hundred and one dollars; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Five hundred and eighty-eight million five hundred and thirteen thousand six hundred and forty-five dollars; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of One hundred and twenty-six million four hundred and sixty thousand dollars. 2. Appropriation . There shall and may be issued and applied towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seventy-three, the sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Eighty million dollars; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Eighty-five million dollars; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Fourteen million dollars. 3. Appropriation of sums voted for Supply services. [Schedule, Parts III, IV and V.] The sums granted by the first section of this Act and by the Appropriation Act1970-1971(No. 2) and the AppropriationAct1971-1972(No.1) and which are set forth in the Parts marked respectively III, IV and V of the Schedule to this Act, amounting as appears by the said Parts in all to the sum of One thousand one hundred and ninety-nine million seven hundred and thirty-one thousand two hundred and forty-six dollars, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and seventy-one for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts III, IV and V respectively.
748 Appropriation Act (No. 2) 1971, No. 58 4. Supplementary appropriation , 1970-1971 . [Schedule, Parts VI, VII and VIII.] There shall and may be issued and applied the further sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), a further sum of Sixteen million eight hundred and eighty-two thousand eight hundred and sixty-five dollars thirty-one cents; From the Trust and Special Funds, a further sum of Fourteen million two hundred and twenty-six thousand nine hundred and ninety-six dollars twenty-four cents; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of Three million five hundred and sixty-three thousand seven hundred and twenty-three dollars thirty-two cents, to defray Supplementary Charges for the services of the year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seventy-one, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and seventy, for the purposes and services expressed in the Parts marked respectively VI, VII and VIII of the Schedule to this Act. 5. Treasurer to pay moneys as directed by warrant . The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay the said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, to such persons, upon such days, and in such proportions as the Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders, and directs, and the payments so made shall, according to the warrant, be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or the appropriate Trust or Special Fund. 6. Treasurer to be allowed credit for sums paid in pursuance of warrant. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 7. Indemnity . [ Schedule, Parts VI , VII and VIII.] The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of Sixteen million eight hundred and eighty - two thousand eight hundred and sixty-five dollars thirty-one cents, Fourteen million two hundred and twenty-six thousand nine hundred and ninety - six dollars twenty - four cents, and Three million five hundred and sixty - three thousand seven hundred and twenty-three dollars thirty - two cents which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes expressed in the Parts marked respectively VI, V11 and VIII of the Schedule to this Act, is hereby authorized and sanctioned , and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. 8. Short title . This Act may be cited as the Appropriation Act 1971-1972 (No. 2).
