WE, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects. the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore
268 Appropriation Act (No. 2) 1968, No. 35 enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Appropriation . [ Schedule , Parts I and 11.1 In addition to the several sums specified in the Parts marked respectively I and 11 of the Schedule to this Act, and which sums are payable under the authority of the several Acts in those Parts respectively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-nine the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of One hundred and twenty-five million dollars and One hundred and ninety million dollars already authorized to be applied towards the services of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-nine, by The Appropriation Act of 1967-1968. No. 2. and the AppropriationAct1968-1969(No. 1), respectively, that is to say.- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Three hundred and six million six hundred and fifty thousand five hundred and forty-five dollars: From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Three hundred and ninety-seven million two hundred and one thousand two hundred and forty-two dollars: From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Ninety-one million one hundred and twelve thousand dollars. 2. Appropriation . There shall and may be issued and applied towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seventy, the sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Fifty-nine million dollars: From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Fifty-eight million dollars: From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Fourteen million dollars. 3. Appropriation of sums voted for Supply services . [ Schedule, Parts III, IV and V.] The sums granted by the first section of this Act and by The Appropriation Act of 1967-1968, No. 2, and the Appropriation Act 1968-1969 (No. I) and which are set forth in the Parts marked respectively Ill. IV and V of the Schedule to this Act, amounting as appears by the said Parts in all to the sum of Seven hundred and ninety- four million nine hundred and sixty-three thousand seven hundred and eighty-seven dollars. are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July. One thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts 111, IV and V respectively.
Appropriation Act (No, 2) 1968, No. 35 269 4. Supplementary appropriation , 1967-1968. [Schedule, Parts VI, VII and VIII.] There shall and may be issued and applied the further sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), a further sum of Eighteen million seven hundred and forty-three thousand eight hundred and forty-nine dollars sixty-three cents; From the Trust and Special Funds, a further sum of Four million five hundred and ninety-seven thousand two hundred and twenty-seven dollars seventy-five cents; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of Nine million and forty thousand three hundred and eighty-one dollars fifty-four cents, to defray Supplementary Charges for the services of the year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-seven, for the purposes and services expressed in the Parts marked respectively Vl, VII and Vlll of the Schedule to this Act. 5. Treasurer to pay moneys as directed by warrant . The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay the said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, to such persons, upon such days, and in such proportions as the Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders, and directs, and the payments so made shall, according to the warrant, be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or the appropriate Trust or Special Fund. 6. Treasurer to be allowed credit for sums paid in pursuance of warrant. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time he allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 7. Indemnity . [ Schedule , Parts VI , VII and VIII .] The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of Eighteen million seven hundred and forty - three thousand eight hundred and forty-nine dollars sixty - three cents, Four million five hundred and ninety-seven thousand two hundred and twenty-seven dollars seventy - five cents, and Nine million and forty thousand three hundred and eighty-one dollars fifty-four cents which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes expressed in the Parts marked respectively VI. VII and VIII of the Schedule to this Act, is hereby authorized and sanctioned , and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. 8. Short title . This Act may he cited as the Appropriation Act 1968-1969 (No. 2).
