APPROPRIATION 1964–65.

No. 73 of 1964.

An Act to appropriate a sum out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund for expenditure in respect of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-five, being expenditure for the ordinary annual services of the Government.

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—

Short title.

1.This Act may be cited as the Appropriation Act 1964–65.

Commencement

2.This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

Issue and application of £670,413,000.

3. The Treasurer may issue out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and apply for the services specified in the Second Schedule to this Act (being ordinary annual services of the Government), in respect of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-five, the sum of Six hundred and seventy million four hundred and thirteen thousand pounds.

Appropriation of £1,094,117,000.

4. The sums authorized by the Supply Act 1964–65 and by this Act to be issued out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, amounting, as appears by the First Schedule to this Act, in the aggregate to the sum of One thousand and ninety-four million one hundred and seventeen thousand pounds, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated, as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-four, for the services expressed in the Second Schedule to this Act in respect of the financial year that commenced on that date.
