APPROPRIATION 1961-62.

 

No. 58 of 1961.

An Act to grant and apply out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund a sum for the service of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-two, and to appropriate the Supplies granted by the Parliament for that year.

[Assented to 24th October, 1961.]

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives, as follows:—

Short title.

  • 1.

    This Act may be cited as the Appropriation Act 1961-62.

 

Commencement.

  • 2.

    This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

Issue and application of £459,687,000.

3.The Treasurer may issue out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and apply towards making good the supply hereby granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-two, the sum of Four hundred and fifty-nine million six hundred and eighty-seven thousand pounds.

Appropriation of supply £735,657,000.

4. All sums granted by the Supply Act 1961-62 and by this Act out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund towards making good the supply granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-two, amounting, as appears by the First Schedule to this Act in the aggregate to the sum of Seven hundred and thirty-five million six hundred and fifty-seven thousand pounds, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-one, for the purposes and services expressed in the Second Schedule to this Act in respect of the financial year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-two.
