APPROPRIATION ACT.
| An Act to appropriate and apply out of the Con- solidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales certain Sums to make good the Supplies granted for the Service of the year from the 1st day of July, 1921, to the 30th day of June , 1922 (inclusive of both dates) ; to adjust the vote "Advance to Treasurer ," 1920-21, Con- solidated Revenue Fund, for supplementary | charges |

charges during the period from the 1st day of July, 1920, to the 30th day of June, 1921 (inclusive of both dates) ; to cover payments " Unauthorised in Suspense," Consolidated Revenue Fund, for urgent claims on account of Services of the year 1920-21 ; to provide for Public Works and other Services out of the Public Works Fund ; and to provide for Services out of the Closer Sett lement F u n d ; and for purposes connected with and incidental to the above objects. Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, WH E R E A S we Your Majesty's most dutiful loyal subjects, the members of the Legislative and
have granted to Your Majesty the several sums herein after mentioned for the Service of the year from the first day of July , one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, to the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two (inclusive of both dates), and for supple menting the grants made by the present Parliament, in its Second Session, in adjustment of the vote " Advance to Treasurer," 1920-21, Consolidated Revenue Fund, for supplementary charges during the period from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, to the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one (inclusive of both dates) ; to cover payments " Unauthorised in Suspense," for urgent claims on account of Services of the year '1920-21, to be pro vided for out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund; and
on account of Public Works and other Services to be
provided for out of the Public Works Fund ; and for
Services to be provided for out of the Closer Settlement Fund : And whereas we desire to make good out of the said funds the several sums granted to Your Majesty as aforesaid: lie it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of the State of New South Wales in Parlia ment assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

APPROPRIATIONS OUT OF CLOSER SETTLEMENT F U N D —
3 . Out of the Closer Settlement Fund there are hereby appropriated, and may be issued and applied for or towards the several uses and purposes hereinafter expressed :—The sum of Ten thousand pounds :—
Secretary for Lands—
Closer Settlement Acts—To provide for the.
Acquisition of Land for the purposes ofCloser Settlement and Contingent Expenses
—further sum . £10,000 0 0 TOTAL AMOUNT APPROPRIATED OUT OF THE
CLOSER SETTLEMENT FUND £10,000 0 0
4 . The Colonial Treasurer shall issue and pay the said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore men tioned in such manner and in such proportions as the Governor by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer may from time to time order and. direct, and the payments so to be made shall he charged upon and payable out of the said funds respectively ; but the said Treasurer shall not be held liable for any claims which may arise in connection with any of the State Departments trans ferred to the Commonwealth on or after the date of such transfer.
5 . The said Treasurer shall in his Accounts from time to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such warrant or order in writing as aforesaid, and the receipts of the respective persons to whom the same are so paid
in passing his said Accounts for any such sums as may shall be a full and valid discharge to the said Treasurer
be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the
same accordingly.
6 . This Act may be cited as the " Appropriation Act, 1921."
