| WHEREAS | w e Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, |
the members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, h a v e granted to Your Majesty the several sums hereinafter mentioned for the service of the year from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and ten, to the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eleven (inclusive of both dates), and for supplementing the grants made by the last Parliament, in its Fourth Session, in adjustment of the vote "Advance to Treasurer, Consolidated Revenue Fund, 1909-1910," for charges during the period from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nine, to the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and ten
( i n c l u s i v e of both dates), to cover payments " Unauthorised in
Suspense," for urgent claims on account of services of the year 1909-10 to be provided for out of t h e Consolidated Revenue Fund, and on account of Public Works and other sendees to be provided for out of the Public Works Fund, and for services to b e provided for out of the Closer Settlement Fund : And w h e r e a s w e desire to make good out of the said funds the several sums granted to Your Majesty as aforesaid : Be i t therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, b y and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of the State of New South Wales i n Parliament assembled, and b y the authority of the same, a s follows:—

priated, and may be issued and applied for or towards the several uses and purposes hereinafter expressed :—The sum of Four hundred and twelve thousand pounds :—

TOTAL AMOUNT APPROPRIATED OUT OF THE CLOSER SETTLEMENT F U N D £412 ,000 0 0 4 . The Colonial Treasurer shall issue and pay the said several
sums for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned in such manner and in such, proportions as the Governor by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer may from time to time order and direct, and the payments so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of the said funds respectively ; but the said Treasurer shall not be held liable for any claims which may arise in connection with any of the State Depart ments transferred to the Commonwealth on or after the date of such transfer.
5 . The said Treasurer shall in his Accounts from time to time
be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such warrant or order in writing as aforesaid, and the receipts of the respective persons to whom the same are so paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the said Treasurer in passing his said Accounts for any such sums as may be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly.
6 . This Act may be cited as the "Appropriation Act, 1910."
