Act No. 17, 1909.
An Act to appropriate and apply out of the Con solidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales certain Sums to make good the Supplies granted for the Service of the year from the 1st
day of Ju ly , 1909, to the 30th day of June, 1910,
inclusive of both dates; to adjust the vote "Advance to Treasurer, Consolidated Revenue Fund, 1908-1909," for supplementary charges during the period from 1st Ju ly , 1908, to 30th June, 1909, inclusive of both dates; to cover payments " Unauthorised in Suspense, Con solidated Revenue Fund,"' for urgent claims on account of services of the year 1908-9 ; to provide for Public Works and other Services out of the Public Works Fund; and to provide for services out of the Closer Settlement Fund; and for purposes connected with and incidental to the above objects. The Colonial Treasurer shall issue and pay the said several sums for t he purposes hereinbefore men t ioned in such m a n n e r and in such proport ions as t he Governor by any war ran t or order in Wri t ing unde r his hand and directed to t he said Treasurer m a y f rom t i m e to t ime order and direct , and the paymen t s so to be m a d e shal l be charged upon and payable out of t he said funds respect ively ; b u t the said Treasurer shall not he held liable for any claims which may arise in connect ion wi th any of t h e Sta te Depa r t men t s t ransferred to the Commonwea l th on or after the date of such transfer .
5. The said Treasurer shall in his Accoun t s from t ime to t ime be al lowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by h i m in pur suance of such war ran t or order in wr i t ing as aforesaid, and the receipts of t h e respective persons to whom t h e same are so paid shal l be a full and valid d ischarge to t he said Treasure r in pass ing his said Accoun t s for any such sums as may he the re in ment ioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly.
