HEREAS, by the laws relating to the Customs and 'l'radc and Preamble

other Acts

Orrlinancrs of the State of South Australia,

certain duties, fines, and other moneys are or may I)e imposed, levied, and collected, to be paid to the Treasurer on behalf of His Majesty, His heirs antl successors, for the public uses of the said State and support of the Government thercof: And whereas certain other moneys are or may become payable to the said State for the like uses under the provisions of the Comnlontvealth of Australia Con- stitution Act, 63 & 64 vict., ch. 12-

that is to say-

FIRSTLY.

Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor, with the advice and

consent of the Parliament of South Australia, as follows:

1, Out of the said duties, or other moneys paid by the Common- Approprintit,tb of

Oenem' Revenue. appropriated, there shall or may be further issued and applied, in the mahner hereinafter mentioned, any sums of money not exceeding

wealth of Australia, and the produce of' all or any other the General

in amount respectively the several sums of money hereinafter specified,

2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay, from time to time, any surn exceeding in the whole the sums respectively in that behalf herein- before specified, to such persons and in such portions as the Governor for the time being shall, by any order or orders in writing signed by him and countersigned by the Chief Secretary, fiom time to time direct,; and the said Treasurer shall, in his acconnts, be allowed credit for all sums paid by him in pursuance of such orders accordingly; and the receipts of the persons to whom

receipt of party.
