HEREAS by the Laws relating to the Customs and Trade Proamble.

W md other Acts and Ordinances o f the Province of South

Australia, certain dutics, fines and other. moneys are or may be

imposed, levied, and collected, to be paid to the Treasurer on behalf

of Her Majesty, Her heirs and successors, for the public uses of the

said province and support of the Government thereof-Be it there- fore Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Aus- tralia, with the advice and coilsent of the Legislative Council and IIouse of Xssernbly of the said province, in this present Parha- ment assembled, as follows:

exceeding in the whole the sums respectively in that behalf Irerein- before ~lpecified, to such persons, and in such portions, as the Gover-

nor for the -time being shall, by any order or ;orders in writing, @ned by &m, and countersigned by the Chief Secretary, from time

to time direct; and the said Treasurer shall, in his accounts, be allowed credit for all sums paid by him in pursuance of such orders accordiagly ; and the receipts of the persons to whom such sums

shall have been so paid shall be to him a full discharge for the sum

or sums for which the same receipts shall have bben respectively given, and the amounts thereof shdl be passed to his credit in account accordingly.
