and for the General Appropriation of the Revenue for the Year

ending June thirtieth, one tl~ousand eight hzcndred and sixty.

REAS by the Laws relating to the Customs and Trade, and Preamble.

W"" certain duties, fines, and other moneys are or may be imposed, levied, other Acts and Ordinances of the Province of South Australia,

and collected, to be paid to the Treasurer on behalf of Her Majesty, Her heirs, and successors, for the public uses of the said Province and support of the Government thereof-& it therefore Ihacted, by the Governor-in-Chief of the Province of South AustraJia, with the advice

and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the

said Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

General Public Revenues of the said Province, not otherwise by law General Revenue.

1. Out of the said duties, and the produce of all or any other the Appropriation of

specially appropriated, there shall or may be further issued and applied, in the mmncr hereinafter mentioned, any sums of money not exceeding in amount respectively the several sums of money hereinafter specified, that is to say-

2 . The Treasurer shall issue and pay from time to time any sum Treasurer to pay to

or sums of money for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned. not ~

exceeding in the whole thc sums respectively in that behalf herein- rcceipt of part^.

before specified. to such persons. and in such portions. as the Governor for the time being shall. by any order or orders. in writing signed by him. and countcrsipcd by the Chief Secretary. from time to time direct. and the said Treasurer shall. in his accounts. be allowed credit

for all sums paid by him in pursuance of such orders accordingly.

and the receipts of the pcrsons to whom such sums shall have been so paid shall be to him a full discharge for the sum or sums for which the same receipts shall have been respectively given. and the amounts thereof shall be passed to his credit in account accordingly.
