certain duties, fines, and other moneys are or may be imposed, lcvicd,

and collccted, to be paid to the Treasurer on behalf of Her Majesty,

Her heirs, and successors, for thc public uscs of the said Province and

support of the Government thercof-Be it thcrcfore Enacted, by thc G overnor-in-Chief of the Province of South Australia, ~vi th the advicc and consent of the Lcgislzltivc Coimcil and House of Assembly of the

said Province, in this prescnt Pa~lianient

assembled, as follows:

1. Ont of the said duties, and the produce of all or ally other thc Aypmpriation of

General Public Revenucs of the said Province, not otherwise by law Gen"al xevenuea

specially appropriated, thcre slmll or may be further issued and

applied, in the manner hereinafter mentioned, any sums of money

not esceeding in amount respectively the several sums of rnoney

before spccifiecl. to such persons. and in such portions. as the Governor for the time being shall. by any ordcr or orders. in writing signed by him. and counte~.signerl by thc Chief Secretary. from time t n time direct. and the said Treasurer shall. in his accounts. be allomd credit for all sums paid by him in pursuance of such orclvrs accordingly. and the receipts of the pcrsons to whom such sums shall hnvc been so paid shall be to him a full discharge for the siml or sulm for which the same receipts shall have been respectidy given. and the amounts thereof shall be passed to his credit in account accordingly.
