An Ordinance to provide for an excess of

Expenditure in the Year One thousand eight hundred and fifty-five over and above the Estimates for the same.

HEREAS it is necessary to provide. for the payment of eight hundred and fifty-five, over and above the Estimates for the same ; Be it therefore enacted, by His Excellency the Governor of Western Australia and its dependencies, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof :—

I. THAT out of the. Revenue of the said colony there shall

December, One thousand eight hundred and fifty-five, and not

provided for in the Ordinance for that year, a sum not exceeding Four thousand four hundred and six pounds, six shillings, and one penny, in manner more particularly detailed in the schedule annexed.

H. THAT the Colonial Treasurer shall issue and pay, from time to time, any sum or sums of' money for the purpose herein. before mentioned, not exceeding, in the whole, the sums re_ spectively in that behalf specified in the schedule hereunto annexed,

same k detail under time being shall, by any order or orders in writing signed by him,Governor's warrant. from time to time direct; and .the said Treasurer shall, in his

accounts, be allowed credit for all sums paid by him in pursuance of such orders accordingly, and the receipts of such persons to whom suci sums shall have been so paid, shall be to him a full discharge for the sum or sums for which the same receipts shall have been respectively given, and the amounts thereof respectively shall be passed to his credit in account accordingly.
