sent of the Legislative Council of the said Colony, to make, ordain, and establish all such Laws and Ordinances as may be necessary for the maintenance of the peace, order, and good government of the same ;—Be it therefore enacted, by his Excellency the Governor of

said Colony, there shall and may be issued and applied any sum or sums of money not exceeding Two hundred and eighty-nine Pounds, Three Shillings, and five-pence, for defraying the supplementary charge for the service of the year ending on the Thirty-first day of March, One thousand eight hundred and forty-three, as detailed in the annexed schedules.
IL AND be it enacted, that out of the produce of the Revenue of
the said Colony, there shall and may be issued and applied any sum

Governor for the time being, by any warrant or order
him, shall from time to time order and direct, and that the payment
so made, shall be charged upon, and payable out of the Revenue of
the said Colony.
AND be it enacted, that the said Treasurer shall in his ac- counts from time to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of Money paid by him in pursuance of such warrant or order in writing as aforesaid, and that the receipt or receipts of the respective persons
