2. A n d be it enacted That out of t he produce of t h e said
dut ies there shall and may be issued and applied any sum. or sums of

not exceeding twenty-n ine t h o u s a n d two h u n d r e d a n d twenty-five pounds sixteen shil l ings and ten-pence to supply t h e deficiencies in t h e a m o u n t appropr ia ted for cer tain D e p a r t m e n t s and Services for

t h a t year.

shal l issue a n d pay the said several sums to such persons for t he purposes hereinbefore ment ioned u p o n such days and in such p ro ­ por t ions as t h e Governor for t h e t ime be ing by any w a r r a n t or order

in wr i t i ng to be signed by h i m shal l from t i m e to t i m e order a n d
direct and t h a t t he p a y m e n t s so to be m a d e shal l be charged upon a n d
payable out of t he Revenues of t he said Colony.

16. A n d be i t enacted Tha t t h e said Treasurer shall i n h i s accounts from t i m e to t i m e be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by h im in pu r suance of such w a r r a n t or order in wr i t i ng as aforesaid and t h a t t h e receipt or receipts of t h e respective persons to w h o m the same shal l be so pa id shall be a full and valid d ischarge to t h e said Treasurer in pass ing his said accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be the re in ment ioned and t h a t he shal l a n d do receive credit for t h e same accordingly.
