An Act for applying. certain Sums arising from the Revenue receivable in the Col- ony of Western Australia to the Service thereof for the Financial Year commen- cing the first of April, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty.

HEREAS power and authority have been vested in the

Wconsent of the Legislative Council of the said Colony, to make,Governor of Western Australia, acting with the advice and

ordain, and establish all such Laws and Ordinances as may be neces- sary for the maintenance of the peace, order, and good government

of the same ; and whereas it is expedient to apply certain sums

arising from the revenue of the said Colony to the service thereof

for the financial year commencing the 1st of April, one thousand May be applied out of the
