An Act to amend the Apple and
Pear Stabilization Act 1971.

IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the Senate and House of Representatives of the
Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:
Short title, &c.
1. (1) This Act may be
cited as the Apple and Pear Stabilization Amendment Act (No. 2)
1977.
(2) The Apple
and Pear Stabilization Act 1971 is in this Act referred to as the Principal
Act.
Commencement
2. This Act shall come into
operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
Seasons to which Act applies
3. Section 5 of the
Principal Act is amended by omitting from sub-section (1) “the next 6
succeeding seasons” and substituting “the next 7 succeeding seasons”.
Stabilization payment
4. Section 10 of the
Principal Act is amended by omitting from sub-section (4) “the next succeeding
season” and substituting “either of the next 2 succeeding seasons”.
Rate of a stabilization payment
5. Section 11 of the Principal
Act is amended by omitting from sub-sections (2b)
and (2c) “the next succeeding
season” and substituting “either of the next 2 succeeding seasons”.
