Apple and Pear Levy Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and after taking into consideration the recommendations with respect to the making of these Regulations made to the Minister of State for Primary Industry by the Australian Apple and Pear Growers' Association, hereby make the following Regulations under the Apple and Pear Levy Act 1976.

1. The Apple and Pear Levy Regulations are amended by adding at the end thereof the following regulation:

Exemptions

"4. For the purposes of sub-section 7 (4) of the Apple and Pear Levy Act 1976, the following class of fruit is a prescribed class of fruit, namely, fruit sold by the grower for use, or used by the grower, in the production of distilled fruit products.".

Commencement

2. Regulation 1 shall come into operation on 1 January 1984.
