REGULATIONS UNDER THE APPLE AND PEAR BOUNTY ACT 1936.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Apple and Pear Bounty Act 1936.

Apple and Pear Bounty Regulations.

Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Apple and Pear Bounty Regulations.

Definition.

2. In these Regulations, ‘‘the Act” means the Apple and Pear Bounty Act 1936.

Manner of payment of bounty.

3. Bounty under the Act shall be paid by cheque posted to the grower of the apples or pears.

Prescribed authorities.

4. The following authorities shall be prescribed authorities for the purposes of sub-section (2.) of section 6 of the Act:—

State.	Prescribed Authority.
New South Wales	The Rural Bank of New South Wales.
Victoria...............................	The Fruit Growers Relief 1934 Committee constituted under the Fruit Growers Relief (Commonwealth Payment) Act 1934.
Queensland.........................	The Director of Fruit Culture.
South Australia	The Apple and Pear Bounty Committee 1935.
Western Australia	The Department of Agriculture.
Tasmania............................	The State Fruit Board.

Prescribed officers.

5. The following officers shall be prescribed officers for the purposes of section 7 of the Act:––

State.	Prescribed Officer.
New South Wales	The Officer in Charge of the Rural Industries Agency of the Rural Bank of New South Wales.
Victoria.............................	The Chairman of the Fruit Growers Relief 1934 Committee constituted under the Fruit Growers Relief (Commonwealth Payment) Act 1934.
Queensland.......................	The Director of Fruit Culture.
South Australia.................	The Chairman of the Apple and Pear Bounty Committee 1935.
Western Australia	The Director of Agriculture.
Tasmania..........................	The Secretary to the State Fruit Board.
