APIARIES ACT 1985

ORDER

Amendment of Schedules to the Apiaries Act 1985 which specify

notifiable and prescribed diseases.

I, the Honourable GORDON SAMUELS AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and pursuant to section 51 (1) (b) of the Apiaries Act 1985:

A.

amend Schedule 1 to the Act (which specifies notifiable diseases) by inserting in alphabetical order under the heading “Pests” the items that are listed in the Schedule to this Order; and

B.

amend Schedule 2 to the Act (which specifies prescribed diseases) by inserting in alphabetical order under the heading "Pests" the items that are listed in the Schedule to this Order.

SCHEDULE

Africanised honeybees
Asian honeybee (Apis cerana)
Dwarf honeybee (Apis florea)
Giant honeybee (Apis dorsata)

Small hive beetle (Aethina tumida)
