Antarctic Treaty (Environment Protection) (Waste Management) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Antarctic Treaty (Environment Protection) Act 1980.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on gazettal.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Antarctic Treaty (Environment Protection) (Waste Management) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 10 (Destination of waste removed)

3.1   Paragraph 10 (a):

Omit “were”, substitute “was”.

4.   Regulation 19 (Cleaning up waste disposal sites and abandoned work sites)

4.1   Subregulation 19 (2):

Omit “is being”, substitute “has been, or is being,”.

4.2   Paragraph 19 (2) (b):

Omit the paragraph.
