AMENDED TIMETABLE & DIRECTIONS ISSUED RE COPIED STATE AWARDS

1. The timetable for the Annual Wage Review 2022–23 (2022–23 Review) was confirmed in a Statement issued on 4 November 2022 (November Statement).

1. The November Statement noted that the Expert Panel will hold a preliminary hearing in March 2023 to allow for full argument as to how the Expert Panel should deal with copied State awards.[1]

1. The copied State awards matter was listed for mention on Tuesday 13 December 2022.

1. Further to the mention, the following directions are made:

1.   Interested parties are to file written submissions in relation to how the Expert Panel should deal with copied State awards by 4:00 pm (AEDT) Friday, 17 February 2023.

2.   Any submissions in reply are to be filed by 4:00 pm (AEDT) Friday, 3 March 2023.

3.   The matter is listed for mention on Friday, 10 March 2023.

4.   The matter is listed for preliminary hearing on Friday, 17 March 2023.

1. As set out in direction 4 above, the date listed for the preliminary hearing concerning copied State awards confirmed in the November Statement has been rescheduled.

* This date has been set on the assumption that the Budget for 2023–24 will be handed down on the second Tuesday of May, 9 May 2023, consistent with usual practice.
