ANNUAL REPORTS (STATUTORY BODIES) ACT 1984 -

REGULATION

(Relating to the use of consultants by statutory bodies)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies) Act 1984, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies) Regulation 1985 is amended by omitting clause 4 (1) (j1) and by inserting instead the following paragraph

(j1) consultants:

(i)

in respect of the engagement during the financial year of a consultant by the statutory body (other than a statutory body being the Public Trustee, the Government Insurance Office or the Senate or Council of a university) the cost of which exceeds $30,000, the following details relating to the consultant:

* the name of the consultant;

* if the consultant has been engaged for a

particular project, the title of the project;

* the actual cost of engaging the consultant;

(ii)     in respect of the engagement during the financial year of consultants by the statutory body (other than a statutory body being the Public Trustee, the Government Insurance Office or the Senate or Council of a university) if the cost of each such engagement is less than $30,000, the following details relating to the consultants:

* the total number of engagements costing less

than $30,000;

* the total cost of all such engagements;

(iii)      if no consultants were engaged by the statutory body during the financial year, a statement of that fact;

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies)

Regulation 1985 to prescribe the particulars relating to the use of consultants by a statutory body to be included in ils report of operations for a financial year.
