ANNUAL REPORTS (STATUTORY BODIES) ACT 1984 -
REGULATION
(Relating to the use of consultants by statutory bodies)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies) Act 1984, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies) Regulation 1985 is
amended:
(a) by omitting clause 4 (1) (j) (v);
| (b) | by inserting after clause 4 (1) (j) the following paragraph: (j1) consultants: |
(i) if the total fee paid during the financial year to a consultant engaged by the statutory body (other than the Public Trustee, the Government Insurance Office or the Senate or Council of a university) exceeds $30,000, details relating to the use of the consultant (including, but not limited to, the name of the consultant and the total fee paid to the consultant, the relevant division or section of the statutory body and the expenses incurred and, if the consultant has been engaged

for a particular project, a description of the project and the expected or actual duration and progress of the project) and a statement justifying the use of the consultant; and
(ii) if the total fee paid during the financial year to a consultant engaged by the statutory body (other than the Public Trustee, the Government Insurance Office or the Senate or Council of a
university) is less than $30,000, details of the use of the consultant (including the name of the consultant and the total fee paid to the consultant and, if the consultant has been engaged for a particular project, a description of the project); I
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies)
Regulation 1985 to prescribe the particulars relating to the use of consultants by a
statutory body to be included in its report of operations for a financial year.
