Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies) Act 1984 Regulation relating to the use of consultants by certain statutory bodies (1991-370) [GG No 108 of 19.7.1991] (NSW)
1998—No. 370
ANNUAL REPORTS (STATUTORY BODIES) ACT 1984—
REGULATION
(Relating to the use of consultants by certain statutory bodies)
NEW SOUTH WALES
[Published in Gazette No. 108 of 19 July 1991]
HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council,
and in pursuance of the Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies) Act 1984, has
been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.
NICK GREINER
Premier and Treasurer.
The Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies) Regulation 1985 is amended by inserting in clause 4 (1) (j1) after the word “Senate” wherever occurring the words “, Board of Governors”.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
At present under the Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies) Regulation 1985, the requirement that a statutory body must include in its report of operations for a financial year certain prescribed particulars relating to the use of consultants does not apply to the Senate or Council of a university. However, some universities do not have a Senate or Council but rather are governed by a Board of Governors. The object of this Regulation is to extend to the Board of Governors of a university the same exemption in relation to particulars about consultants as applies to the Senate
or Council of a university.
