His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Annual Reports (Departments) Act 1985.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to require a Department to include particulars of its account payment performance in its 1996-1997 and subsequent annual reports.

This Regulation is made under the Annual Reports (Departments) Act 1985, including sections 9 (l), 11 (2) and 20 (the general regulation making power, in particular section 20 (2) (a)).

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Annual Reports (Departments)
Amendment (Payment Performance) Regulation 1997.

Schedule 1 Report of operations

Insert after the matter relating to Guarantee of service:

Payment of accounts In the case of a Department’s annual
report for its 1996-1997 financial year,
and any subsequent financial year,
details of performance in paying
accounts (assessed in accordance with
indicators determined by the Treasurer
from time to time), including details,
where appropriate, of action taken to
improve performance in paying
accounts
