s1 2 s7 Animals Protection Amendment Regulation (No. 1) No. 35, 2002 2002 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Animals Protection Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2002 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 March 2002. 3 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Animals Protection Regulation 1991. 4 Omission of pt 2 (Use of animals for scientific experiments) Part 2— omit . 5 Amendment of pts 3 and 4 Parts 3 and 4— renumber as parts 2 and 3. 6 Amendment of s 5 (Definitions for pt 3) Section 5, heading, ‘ pt 3 ’— omit, insert — ‘ pt 2 ’. 7 Amendment of ss 6, 7 and 9 Sections 6(2), 7(2) and 9— insert— ‘Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.’.
