1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Animal Research Amendment (Animal Code) Regulation
2014.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

Schedule 1 Amendment of Animal Research Regulation 2010

[1]      Clause 3 Definitions

Omit “of practice” from the definition of the Australian Code in clause 3 (1).

[2]      Clause 8 and Schedule 1, clause 1 (2) (a)

Omit “2.2.16” wherever occurring. Insert instead “2.7.4”.

[3]      Clause 21 (2) (b) and Schedule 2, clause 6 (2)

Omit “2.2.2” wherever occurring. Insert instead “2.2.4”.

Omit clause 8. Insert instead:

8      Decision making

A decision made in accordance with section 2.3.11 of the Australian Code at a meeting of the ethics committee at which a quorum for a meeting of the ethics committee is present is a decision of the ethics committee.
