Animal Health Amendment Act 2001

An Act to amend the Animal Health Act 1995

[Royal Assent 12 April 2001]

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Animal Health Amendment Act 2001 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Animal Health Act 1995 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 46 amended (Draft industry disease control program) Section 46(3)(f) of the Principal Act is amended by omitting "Chief Veterinary Officer has first consulted with the Director of National Parks and Wildlife" and substituting "Minister has first consulted with the Minister responsible for the administration of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 ". 5Section 47 amended (Approval of industry disease control program) Section 47(4) of the Principal Act is amended as follows: (a) by omitting from paragraph (c) "owner." and substituting "owner; or"; (b) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (c) : (d) does not provide a management committee that represents the interests of all stakeholders. 6Sections 58 and 59 repealedSections 58 and 59 of the Principal Act are repealed. 7Section 62 repealed Section 62 of the Principal Act is repealed.
