An Act to amend the Law authorizing the

destruction of Gouts. [24th April, 1873.]

goats producing hair used in or adapted for the manufacture of WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the law relating to the destruction of goats so far as it applies to Angora and other

cloth or other textile fabrics Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows :—-

1. So much of the Act eighteenth Victoria number twenty- seven intituled " An Act for protecting inclosed lands from intrusion and trespass " and of the " Impounding Act of 1855 " as authorizes the destruction of goats in certain cases as in the said Acts enacted shall be and the same is hereby repealed so far as any of the said enactments might be held to apply to branded Angora or other branded goats producing hair used in or adapted for the manufacture of cloth or other textile fabrics And the word " c a t t l e " in the " Registration of Brands Act of 18CG " shall from and after the passing of this Act be taken to include the goats last aforesaid.

2. This Act shall come into force on the first day of May and may be cited as the "Angora Goats Protection Act of 1873."
