Anglican Church of Australia (Bodies Corporate) Act 1938 - Order

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South

Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 4 (3) of the Anglican Church of Australia (Bodies Corporate) Act 1938, do, by this my Order, declare that the persons who for the time being are members of the body known as the Anglican Diocese of Bathurst Stewardship for Ministry Fund Board constituted under the Anglican Diocese of Bathurst Stewardship for Ministry Fund Ordinance 1998 shall be a body corporate under the name “Anglican Diocese of Bathurst Stewardship for Ministry Fund Board”.

Section 4 of the Anglican Church of Australia (Bodies Corporate) Act 1938 provides that the persons who, for the time being, are the members of an unincorporated body that is constituted by an ordinance of the Synod of a diocese for the purpose of managing, governing or controlling an institution or organisation of the Anglican Church of Australia, or of dealing with any church trust property, may be the subject of another ordinance by that Synod declaring that i t would be expedient to constitute them as a body corporate.

Anglican Church of Australia (Bodies Corporate) Act 1938-Order

Explanatory note

Once the second ordinance is passed by the Synod, the Governor may, by order published in the Gazette, declare the members of the unincorporated body to be a body corporate.

The purpose of this Order is to provide for the members of the Anglican Diocese of Bathurst Stewardship for Ministry Fund Board to be a body corporate known as the “Anglican Diocese of Bathurst Stewardship for Ministry Fund”. The relevant ordinances are the Anglican Diocese of Bathurst Stewardship for Ministry Fund Ordinance 1998 and the Anglican Diocese of Bathurst Stewardship for Ministry Fund Incorporation Ordinance

1998.

This Order is made under section 4 (3) of the Anglican Church of	Australia
(Bodies Corporate) Act 1938.
